Default trunk door

hey, i have a 97 discovery. For some reason the trunk door wont open, even though it is unlocked.

Pop the " Land Rover " emblem out from the tail door assembly. Spray WD-40 on the handle pivots and work back forth until free.

If popping the emblem and spraying with WD40 doesn't work, you may need to replace the latch assembly. This involves removing the door panel and swapping out the latch mechanism. Took me about an hour on my Disco and the part was about $110.

on mine the left passenger and tailgate power door locks dont push the ***** all the way up, so sometimes i have to go through the drver door to unlock the rear passenger door to unlock the tail gate. much fun.
