09 Lr2 Subwoofer setup

Default 09 Lr2 Subwoofer setup

Hey all i am tearing it apart i opened the dash and reviewed the entire setup.. I have to say its wierd seeing fiber optics in a car..

My question is about the sub.. there is a 4 pole pin out with white,red,blue w/stripe, another blue w/stripe.. When i opened the harness and jumped from the line to the load it was both sub signal..

Is this thing dual voice coil? I am planning on adding my own sub ontop of this and want to make sure i procure enough amplifiers to cover it all..

OEM sub is 6.5" Fillips with dual-voice coils 2 Ohms each, has decent sized magnet in it.

thank you. If i have more questions about this topic, is it best to keep posting within the already created topic or kick off other topics?.. I searched this by keyword lr2 sub and did not see any hits.
