Default 2008 land rover lr2 misfires and draining battery

I have a 2008 lr2 hse , replaced battery less than a year ago . Something is drawing power which has drained battery to 9 percent. Had spark plugs replaced a month ago . Started truck and it's running real rough like its misfiring. Took to shop, they checked all plugs and coils and reset codes. Truck ran fine until engine Light came back on within a week then started running rough again with misfires. What do I do.. ? please help.

You need to get the codes read and post them on the forum.

That will happen every time the battery is drained or disconnected. The ECM will need to resync again with the engine. In mine it goes away after a few minutes. Kinda stupid design, I don't know any other car but Land Rovers that behave that way. But yes, read the codes and post them here. In fact, reset them, then run the car for a few minutes, then read them again and post them here. That will eliminated any previous codes that were never reset.

Also charge your battery and do a hard reset.

Hard reset = remove both Battery + and Battery - and let the system voltage drop to zero (leave it there for 30 minutes)

Then connect a fully charged battery

Good Luck

Paul

Wow, That's an even worse design. I had no idea someone could beat Land Rover at that. I use a BC 30 backup camera from Garmin that displays on my GPS device. It only turns on when the reverse lights come on.

Default Results from mechanic 2008 Lr2 PLEASE HELP

I have attached pdf form of diagnostic , codes, repairs ,work order etc of which mechanic sent me. Rover is no better then when it arrived at shop. WHY do I feel Violated ? Please help. I feel like imma snap.. I may be a woman but I'm certainly not a chump. They have had my wheels for weeks and had called me saying that my backup camera was draining my new battery so I asked him to disconnect it since they were keeping my truck troubleshooting issue with rough start and I just bought new battery in September $200 . Showed up at shop today and my rover has been in lot since last week... BU cam connected, Battery Connected and completely dead. Owner has no explanations as to why or how.. when I ask if he has been to forum he says Matt's always online researching but anyone from forum who may have suggestions on what to do next can gladly call shop . IM beside myself.. I desperately need my rig $1300 in and no fix. Please Help. I like my freedom , dont wanna snap on this dude. Blessed Be & Thanks to all . Most Appreciate Any Help.

Looks like the mechanic knows what he is doing. I'm out of ideas, other than removing and throwing away that backup camera.
