My son is using our LR2 at college and whenever he puts anything on the passenger seat, the seatbelt reminder goes on. Is there an easy way to disable this?

I doubt the software provides an option for that, liability.

My wife buckles the seatbelt when the dog sits there.

He could simply get a used seatbelt tab from a junkyard and leave that plugged in. Remove it when carry pax so they can buckle in.

You could probably also cut into the wire for the switch and leave it shorted or open, whichever sends the right signal. IIRC the wire runs outside the belt latch.
