Default 2014 Land Rover LR2 coolant leak from wheel well

Could use a lil help I’m new here so hello all and appreciate any advice my 2014 lr2 will leak coolant every so often and I noticed a small puddle behind the passenger tire having to fill up the tank every other day a lil bit of coolant but couldn’t notice any leaks from any hoses or the tank so I finally pulled the plastic inside the wheel well and pulled back the small piece of heat shield and noticed a black box with a flap on the end of it that the coolant was coming out of on it product name FOMO.CO PA GF30 Sweden Land Rover says it’s a drain pipe cost about 15 dollars but I don’t understand why coolant would come out of this pipe every so often cause it’s never done this before 1 and two unless that flap doesn’t open so freely and from underneath my god I can’t see what the end is connected too anyone have any expedite with this type of situation again new here sorry for the long explanation but scratching my head on how to pull this thing and stop this leak thanks Enes

Default help!

Sorry for reviving an old thread but did you ever find out why it was leaking out of there? I have the same issue now.

Sounds like failing water pump, when they go bad they leak from the weep hole means the bearings are bad. If the leak is on the passenger side I would recommend checking that first.

Are you sure it's coolant and not just water from the A/C evaporator now that it's getting warm here in the northern hemisphere?

Yes coolant should feel slippery (oily) between your fingers and smell sweet.

I just went through this & got the issue fixed yesterday. Was told it was a clogged water pump, mechanic replaced. Was still losing coolant like crazy. Took it for second opinion, my thermostat was old and stuck closed. Had that replaced and everything is good. Really tested it by driving it 2 hours in this summer heat, no leak. Coolant is keeping at the perfect level. Thermostat being stuck closed might something to consider. It is a 2013 LR2 HSE lux.
