Default 2006 LR3...CEL after 24hrs of owning...??s

so just bought a 2006 LR3 SE V6 with 47k miles on it from the local LR dealer. own it for almost exactly 24hrs and now the CEL is on!!! i was a little unsure of the purchase from friends talking about problems and reading of a few issues online...but 24hrs after getting it?!?!?

i think we will be contacting the dealer and trying to do a return. i really just don't want to start off on the wrong foot and the bad sign of this.

any thoughts on what may have triggered the CEL? we had driven maybe about 100 miles....dealer filled it up before pickup so i don't think it would be a issue with the gas cap? it came on as we stopped at a light leaving a parking lot.

Believe it or not I have never had the CEL come on and I own a 2005 LR3 w/53k miles. I have reviewed various threads over the years since I've bought it new and either I lucked out on a great quality vehicle or only people with problems post threads.
I did have a few minor issues but nothing inconvenient. I have a good dealer to turn to.
Botton line is that I couldn't be happier with by purchase 4 1/2 yrs ago.

Hopefully a computer analysis will help identify the problem for you.

Good luck.
