Default Clock on dash

Well, I have playing a bit with my iid tool (BT) and managed to add the clock on the dash. All was well for a few weeks but now it blanks to --:--. Any thoughts?

I experienced that when my battery was failing and the voltage dropped too low. It seems like the communication between the dash and radio, which keeps the time, gets corrupted. After charging the battery I'd disconnect the vehicle from the battery for a few minutes then reconnect and reset the time on the radio.

I will give that a shot. I just replaced the alternator the other day. Maybe I will try a hard reset too.

When you added the clock on your dash was it in military time only or 12 hr format? I was going to do this but I heard it can only be done in military time/24 hr.

Mine is in 24-hour / military time on the dash even though it is 12-hour (am/pm) on the radio.

Seems odd that the later years have 12 hour on the dash, but earlier years can only get 24 hour time. I assume my 08 came with the clock on the dash stock.

Same but for a different reason. My dash clock went to 24hr when I replaced the radio. Any suggestions?

Hit the menu button on the radio and scroll down to "clock". It's where you set the time, one of the steps is you set it for 12 or 24 hour
