Default Driving a Boat

Got a new 2008 LR3 at the beginning of the year. Been having fun working on it and occasionally driving it off pavement. It's like driving a boat, so much "floating" feeling. I really do not remember this on my last one. Looking for recommendations of where to start for giving this thing a little firmer ride. I like the air ride but really feels like if you were to do a quick turn to avoid something you'd topple over. I'm thinking new struts. I put Sumo springs and some tuned Fox shocks on my sprinter van and love the effect that has had on handling. Doesn't seem like that would work with an air suspension. I don't have any leaks in the air system. Wondering if maybe sway bars all need to be redone. I have not checked them for movement yet.

While the air springs may be fine the strut cartridges wear out like any other strut. That would definitely cause a floating uncontrolled feel. I would check there, sway bar links, and rear upper control arm bushings.

The shocks wear out before the airbags fail generally, you can replace just the shock but that usually works out uneconomical.
