fuel mileage
#11
17 in town 23 on the Hiway
Here in Houston with the air conditioner on ( IT IS ALWAYS ON HERE), a 15 mile commute in stop and go traffic at an average of 28 mph gets me 16.7 to 17.2.
My hiway trip to Missouri this weekend using cruise control at 70-75 mph gave me a very pleaseing 23.4
I will go out on a limb and say it is the new rear diff fro. Unseenone that makes these numbers possible, but I am sure his advice on tranny and diff fluids helped some too.
10 mph seems like something is causing a lot of drag in the drive train or wheel bearings. Maybe the injectors are adding way too much fuel. Keep us up to date as I am sure we will need the fix for our LR3s soon enough.

Winter fuel blends knock off another 1-2mpg as well. My wife averaged 15.4mpg with the LR3 in her daily city/hwy commute.
I sold our Disco which was getting about 11mpg in winter and 13mpg in summer (12 as a yearly average), took the LR3 as my daily driver and took in for its 105k service (plugs changed, etc) and got ready for a little bit better mileage for a change!
First tank was all city driving = 12.4mpg! What the heck. After 3 tanks and doing some highway as I usually do, I am at 13.4mpg and that is likely where I will be all winter.
At least gas prices are down for a little while!
