There are certain options not available to the SE that are standard in the HSE. In the 2008 models they are:
Memory seat System
550 Watt Harman/Kardon
19" wheels
Wood trim interior
The diferences change somewhat over the 3 years of production but mainly the HSE will have a lot more options as "standard" for the extra price that the SE will only have as "optional equipment" or Not available at all. The price difference is a lot more pronounced when buying new. But if you are buying used, there's hardly any difference in the prices so go for the HSE when buying used, and buy the SE only if buying new on a budget.
