Was thinking a thread dedicated to easy things that someone could do to improve the performance of their older LR3 would be helpful. Suggestions on easy items that a home mechanic could to to see improved performance or restoration of original performance. Additives? Fuel system cleaners? Replace/clean MAF? What ya got? Cheers.

 

I'm a new owner of my LR3 with 162k miles... I got performance back to acceptable levels by doing Sea Foam treatment to fuel, oil, and via spray into throttle body, after 500 miles oil / filter change, then spark plug change, and lastly replaced the MAF with one from JET Performance.

 

BG products are also recommended on the LR3. The LR dealership even uses that.
