SUSPENSION issues! I took it to the stealership and was told the suspension air compressor is "pulling too much"and that the ride height switch is telling the suspension to go up & go down at the same time.

Was quoted over $1000 to fix the issue - so i said nevermind. I pulled the compressor off the truck...any ideas on bench testing this?

I am considering a new compressor...and hope the dealership wasnt feeding me a line of BS. It seems to me, there ought to be a way to just rebuild my existing compressor (it still kicks on, but after about 10 seconds, i get a fault and the compressor quits)

I am finding that it may be possible to use a compressor from a Ford - eddie bauer.

Has anybody heard of this?

If so, does anybody have a part number? I have looked for some sort of cross ref - since many LR3 parts are the exact same as parts in other vehicles - (just seems like the "Land Rover" parts are about 4X more expensive). unless anybody else knows of one - I want to start a list of LR3 "Land Rover" parts and their corrisponding non-land rover parts. Part numbers would be ideal...but not a requirement. PLEASE - IF YOU ARE AWARE OF ANY SUCH LAND ROVER vs CORRISPONDING NON-LR PARTS, THROW IT ON THIS THREAD!

 

Hey there. I share your pain. Did you have any luck with an alternative compressor? Would love to think that you did. Have just been quoted 41250 Australian dollars for a new one plus fitting.
