Default LR3 SE..Front Seat killing my back..any suggestions?

Hi.
The front seat of my LR3SE 2006 has progressed into such discomfort
over these 90K miles. Its virtually crippling me as I need to be in the car 6 hrs 3 or 4 days a week..Any suggestions.
Ive tried a little 10" Square pillow at my lower back but its no help.
Any one experience & solution this ?

Drive a D2 for about 6 hours. any seat will feel like a pillow afterwards.

Take to trim shop and have them fit the seat to you.

Im happy with the fit of mine, but they are starting to look like 110k miles. The HSE LR3 models have an adjustable lumbar support air bag built in. The RR sports have a little more bolster and are probably available in a matching color to yours.

Perhaps the lumbar is an option on later years? My '06 LR3 HSE does not have this feature. Regardless, this just goes to show how different we are all. I'm 6'4", 215 lbs and these seats are by far the most comfortable car seats I have ever sat in. I can drive all day in the car and still feel fine. My audi, on the other hand, I can be in for 60 minutes and come out with a terrible lower backache. :P

The really nice thing about the RR HSE seats (don't know anything about the sports) are that you can move the upper part of the backrest separately from the rest of the backrest... so you can bring it in closer to you to fit the curve of your back better and relieve tension on your neck and shoulders.

Some of the RR have built in back massage too!

I wonder what a pair of those seats cost?

Ah... now it makes sense as to why car manufacturers are starting to implement these "drowsy driver" systems that warn you when you start to nod off. They don't want to be sued because you fell asleep at the wheel due to the massage you were getting...

A few interesting things in this thread - first of all I can't believe someone joked about the DII making the LR3 seats feel better. For some reason my friends and I (and the GF) all agree that my 99 disco seats are some of the most comfortable seats EVER MADE.

Second - there isn't lumbar on the LR3 that I know of, which is rather bizarre considering my RRS has almost identical seats mechanically, the LR3 is just missing the little 2-position lumbar switch further back.

Blows my mind considering the DII has lumbar (unless I'm losing my mind) AND the RRS, but a top-trim LR3 HSE "luxury" SUV from Land Rover doesn't have lumbar support?

I don't know what are you talking about...I find LR3 seats one of the most comfortable seats I ever sat on. Sure the bottom portion looks and feels a little softer , then new now, but I would expect that after 10 years and 160000 miles of everyday use.
Also lumbar suport was available in 2005 HSE as I have it .in form of a big **** on the side of my seat and it works a treat.
