Default LR3 tent

Was sondering if anyone has the tent from landrover that attches to the back of the LR3? Looks like it might be reasonably useful for car camping. Anyone tried this out? Any experiences to relate?

Default RE: LR3 tent

I use the LR3 tent a lot. It's very simple to set up and break down. It does not have a floor so it is truly a day tent, although I have used it several times for camping with a cot. I would keep it away from the beach though, I used mine for a 4th of July beach bash and got sand in the elbow joints and it tore the joint apart. Beginner mistake though, I wasn't being careful with it. I have attached it to my LR3, RR Sport and Freelander and it works great.

I took it to Colorado and used it as the groups' shower. I put the cargo mat from my car in as a floor, scraped the ground so the water would run out a channel. It was a big hit, lots of room.

I don't know how to put pictures in here but I can send you some of it in operation if you like. Just email me spiker@offroving.com

Later,
