New Stereo, Move Nav/Info screen down to radio location?
I want to put a new head unit in for my trip to Alaska. My LR3 has a replacement stereo already (2013 Kenwood, old and slow). I'm looking at the 10" tablet-based Stinger but it will cover too many buttons, like; door unlock and the others that run across the top and also the climate control buttons on the bottom. However, if I move it up to where the factory Nav is and put the Nav where the Kenwood is, I think that will work and long as I can move the Nav down. Also by moving it I think it will easier to use up higher. I want to keep the factory nav/info for the 4x4 page. So has anyone done this before? I would love a link to a youtube, PDF or any info on doing this would be awesome. Thanks

Not been done as far as I know, but anything is doable. Just have to move wires around and probably extend them. The fiber optics will have to be routed a little bit but should reach fine since they come up from below. If you just want 4x4 info, you could also upgrade to a LR4 unit which only requires the fiber optics and power - if not using the nav you don't need GPS/vehicle speed. So literally just power and optics is needed for it to work.
