Got this last night, engine gets to temp, it is cold as hell out though, cleared it will see if it returns

Basicly says engines taking too long to reach temp or not reaching temp

Low coolant, stuck on fan, bad thermostat, bad temp sender

thorgal 02-16-2015 07:01 AM

usually means thermostat stuck open .Replace it and you should be in god shape.

TOM R 02-16-2015 08:09 AM

Will do, just the thermostat and oring or the whole assembly? Since these are prone to break right?

TOM R 02-16-2015 09:40 AM

As usual amazon best price, $29 thermostat , o ring shipped!!

thorgal 02-16-2015 12:31 PM

That is a great price.
I don't know how much miles you have on yours, but my thermostat housing cracked at manifold , so I replaced the whole thing.Came with thermostat already installed inside.

TOM R 02-16-2015 01:44 PM

thorgal 02-16-2015 03:42 PM

T-stat failure on this is usually the seal on the t-stat itself, rubber tears and allows coolant to bypass the t-stat. Check the seal when you take it out, if it is in good shape, you might be looking at a failed OCMV.

Whats a Ocmv?
