I am experiencing a really weird problems with the LR3. I have 7000km on the car. When I connect my camper trailer to the car the car will drive OK for a short distance and then rev up to 4500rpm, clunck heavily in and out of gears, rev again and so on. Manual mode works OK for a couple of second s and then the car goes into auto again. The dealer has no idea as to what is wrong.
Any ideas?

 

How fast are you driving? I really have no idea what's going on, but I remember reading not to tow stuff for too long less than 21 mph in normal (high) range, I think so the gearbox or transfer case or something doesn't overheat.
