Default Squeak from rear suspension.

Seems like something is not happy ….

recently replaced the upper rear control arms.

annoying squeak coming from the RR. When you rock the car when parked and driving slowly first thing it squeaks. Faster driving and continuous driving it goes away. Have tried a couple of silicone spays on the shock and a bit on the bushing. Went away for a bit then came back. Can’t seem to pinpoint the origin.

could be a sign of not properly torqued bolts?

Did you tighten it all down at proper road height?

Yes sir.

on that note - what do I do to keep the suspension from dropping when I jack it up? Is there a setting on the gap tool?

Any tips
on getting that top bolt tight without a torque wrench?

Different torque wrench maybe? By the way, is it a squeak or more of a creak? The rose joints in the knuckles easily go bad and tend to creak a lot. You can inject them with a siring of motor oil (warmed up well). Then dab sealant on the hole.

Rose joints? You mean the ones I just replaced? Lol

ill have to post a video. It’s like rubber squeaking. At first I thought I the spare tire was loose but it wasn’t that.

the torque wrench I don’t think is the issue. It’s getting the socket on it and having room for the both of them. Or at least that is what I found.

I would def check/lubricate the rose joints first. Could be a rear lateral link maybe.

should I bother with those new ones? I replaced both top ones in the knuckle. Any particular grade of motor oil ?
