Sunroof adjustment guide with pictures (wind noise fix)
Hello guys,
My lr3 that I recently purchased had its sunroof replaced and who ever put it in did a terrible job of aligning it. The front kicked up to much and made a ton of wind noise.
I looked at few other forums and nobody really had clear instructions. A few of them said loosen the screws and open and close the sun roof but that did not work.
You might be able to do it by yourself but its far to hard to see if everything lines up on the outside. Get yourself a buddy.
Step 1.
Open sunroof to vent position
Step 2.
losses the 3 torque screws with a t25
Step 3
close the sunroof
step 4
Have your friend line up the sunroof by pushing on the glass from the inside.
Step 5
While they are holding the glass in position get a long torque tool like the one in the picture and tighten all 3 bolts. I started with the back ones the shifted to the front bolts.
Now take it on the freeway and adjust if wind noise persist. I got lucky and got it on the first try. Just make sure everything sits flush.
The sunroof sitting below the roof not flush
Same with the front, it was raised aboe the roof line catching the wind.
The three screws you need to loosen
The tools you need long and thin (t25)
Sunroof sittinf flush
Front now sitting flush
