Default tire rotations

How often are you LR3 owners rotating/balancing tires? I know the factory schedule says road force balance/rotate every 7500 when in for service but given that these things like to eat tires even when aligned properly anyway, I'm wondering if it's worth doing it every 3 or 4k?

You are having tire wear that bad? Might want to have the alignment checked again.

rotating tires never hurts. well, maybe your back but no harm in that. don't know if that will save your tires in any dramatic fashion; perhaps keeping on top of the alignment would be a better 'tire-eating-prevention' step?

No, my tires are wearing fine but I bought the vehicle CPO used and have only put a few thousand miles on it. The tires are almost new. It is a known fact that LR3's tend to go through tires pretty fast and I am wondering if others have had a different experience by more frequent rotating/balancing and staying on top of alignments.

I heard that a lot of them came from the factory not aligned correctly and I think a lot of people neglect basic service anyway, which could all add up to them having a reputation for going through tires quickly.
