I like the LR3's, alot. But even if I could get one for $10k, I wouldn't like the feeling I would get the first time I smack a tree off-road. And if I wasn't gonna take it off-road, I might as well buy an Explorer, or Trailblazer, or etc. I don't see having the capability and not using it.

I do like the LR3 but the price tag still scares me and like Spike says I know how to fix my D1. And I guess its the truck driver in me that likes the air ride suspension, hell its strong enough to put on big rigs I dont see why people dont like it in there vehicles. I see the point of wearing out or leaking but I replace them in my rig about every 3 years just because they dry rot not because there worn out or torn.

When I drove truck I also had air ride (my last 2 trucks had it the ones before that had springs), it was nice but you have to admit Long Haul that the air bags used on a 80,000 lbs truck are alittle more durable than those on a SUV.
I only had one bag blow out in 500,000 miles on my Frieghtliner, called Ryder and a hour later I was back on the road.

And what I have always wondered. Since its Independent suspension do the tires self align or are they aligned at hwy heigh and then misaligned off road.
