My U.S. base model has no amp. No sub in the rear gate either. I also have a different radio that does not have the 6 CD changer or the phone dial buttons. Makes decent noise.

I have the sub which i'm happy with and the new head unit has an amplifier chip which works quite well so overall the sound is excellent. My benchmark test is AC/DC's Hells Bells from back in black which is passes nicely

These were some hard ones for sure. Only 2nd vehicle I’ve ever had to cut to get them out and also remove the exhaust to get at bolts. Going to remove front part as well for transmission.

Got a little bit more sway than I'd like.
I'd move that back about three feet, just far enough that you still have decent/correct tongue weight...but more centered over the trailers tandem axles. To much tongue weight can cause sway and bad gas mileage. Front axle is doing to much of the support work on the trailer, causes a "drag" on the axle tires. Let the trailer carry the rover, not the rover.

Just hauled a 110 from Vermont, through mountains and hills, expressway speeds with a Silverado 1500 and had no swaying. Load distribution is huge in hauling a trailer.

Brian.

I gave it the weekend off.

Put the Excursion to work as I was informed I needed to do family things.

Changed out the sparks plug today. Hardest part of the whole job was getting the spark plug socket back out after installing the new plug. While I was in there I think I have decided to put in a new PCV valve.

Also noticed some crystallized coolant around the end of one of the hoses. Anyone know if that is normal or should I add new hoses to my list.

Next weekend will be belts and tensioner pulleys.
