What Nut does this Hardy Spicer (LR3) Use? Where can I find it?
Replacing my rear axle half shaft on the driver's side of my 2006 LR3 with locker. Bought a Hardy Spicer, pictured here: https://lucky8llc.com/collections/lr...r-lh-genuine-1. It didn't come with a nut and it's not the same pitch as what I pulled off. What I pulled off has a notch in the threads to "lock" the nut. Did some recon and am wondering if part number LR024151 is the correct nut for the new shaft. Do you know or have thoughts you'd like to share? Photos are below.

There are two style o nuts due to updates. I always keep a few of each on hand because they are cheap and they are not reusable.Axel nut:
RFD500020 (thread = m24x1.5)
LR024151 (thread = M24x2.0)
Also the torque spec has been updated. I think something like 250 ft lbs versus the older torque of 320 ft lbs - or something like that.

Correct. The updated shafts and nuts have a courser thread, hence the 2.0 pitch versus 1.5. Also, for the record, I think the old ones were 32mm and the new 36? I could have that backwards. As for install, the new ones will be castle nuts so just torque and there is not cotter pin or a need to dent in any metal to ensure they hold Makes me nervous but that is what I was told and mine have been fine for year. I think the important thing with the new ones is they are one time use for sure whereas the old ones you cold get away with re-using I suppose.
