2011 LR4 Engine Knock Idling

Took it in for service, adviser said it was the injectors and normal.
To me it sounds like a timing chain possibly related to the timing belt guides.
It's very loud and especially noticeable next to a wall e.g. in the drive through.
2011 LR4 HSE 5.0L V8 62K miles (still under warranty)
Anyone else have a noticeable knocking when at idle?

I think I do in my 13 Range Rover Sport (5 liter engine same as yours).

Dealer says it is normal; listening to UmbertoBob's engine on his oil change Youtube video, after start up, mine sounds like his. But it is just a lot noisier than any other Jag V8 I have owned. In fact, the noise sounds like a bad cam or timing tensioner that I had on a 08 LR3 4.4 (which LRNA bought back because parts were months on back order).

The "knock" you hear at idle is the fuel pump cam follower.
The 5.0L engine uses mechanical fuel pumps, and the cam follower can be very noisy.
It sits lower in the engine so it sound like something in the bottom end, but usually it's not.

Good answer; appreciate the fast response. This is just about the exact spot I hear the noise loudest with a mechanic's stethoscope.

Don't know how.

The noise does not really present itself well in video form.

Picked up the car, asked to hear another 2011 LR4 they had in the service department and it sounded exactly the same as mine. Piece of mind I guess...

Agree: after JagDoc's input, I relaxed "battle dress!" (any old sailors here?).

I test drove a 2013 LR4 today and noticed it was ticking heavily. The dealer is taking it to Land Rover today for service. Still under warranty, just barely, 47,200 on the ODO. Found it at a BMW dealership. It's in pristine condition. I'm heavily leaning towards pulling the trigger on this one once it comes back from the LR shop. Starting price is reasonable and there is still room to negotiate. Would this issue be the same one some 2011's were plagued with, slack timing chain as I understand? Can't be "normal"...
