Default 2014 LR4 HSE LUX SV6 Alternator Connector

Hi,
I'm replacing the alternator in my 2015 LR4 HSE LUX SV6 and when I tried to disconnect the alternator connector, the wire (single wire) broke at the connector. Any suggestions on what to do? Do I need to replace the entire wiring system for this connector? Or do I simply just need to replace the connector and put the old wire into it? Any recommendations are appreciated.
Thanks,
SR

I'm glad you asked... I did the same thing and I posted my solution here along with an video:
https://landroverforums.com/forum/lr...rnator-100386/

The original LR part number is YPC908520 ( thanks to Lutron); However, if you want a more immediate solution, you can get a Duralast CONA357 in stock at Autozone for $20. The connector is the same, but it's two wire; the LR part is one wire. Just cut off the extra wire (be sure you cut the right one off ) and discard it. Use a waterproof crimp butt to connect it.

Thank you! If I go with the Duralast part, how do I know which wire to cut? And how do you connect the existing wire to the duralast part?

You look at the old connector and the new connector and cut the wire that the old connector doesn't have

I assume we're talking about the same part. Did you check the link I provided? I don't know where your wire broke (which side of the connector). Yours might have broken in a different spot than mine.
