Default 2016 LR4 steering rack - play in column after replacement

I am rebuilding a 2016 LR4 after a minor fender bender. The steering rack needed replacement as the housing was cracked.
After installing the new rack, I noticed some play in the steering column. There appears to be nothing holding the universal joint's triangular shaft into the steering column sleeve (see pic below). My unit comes apart, the UJ with its triangular shaft seems to just slide out from the metal sleeve with the heat shield, and there is play in there.

Am I missing a part, or is there some kind of screw that needs to be tightened into the column to remove the play?

Turns out that in the crash, the violent move of the steering column caused by hitting the passenger front wheel stretched the triangular hole in the lower steering column causing some play. Replacing the part shown above fixed the issue.
