I have chosen 5 seat configuration as I dont need the extra seats.
Are the second row more or less comfortable than the 7 seater or the 5 seater with conv pack? When not adding the more complex folding option I've seen that the seats dont look the same and have another headrest.

Also does the five seater differ in the cargo area?

 

Cargo area is same except no third row seats. Second row seats in five are same as seven. I fold middle 2nd row seat permanently for rear vision, unless I have passengers. I think 7 is useless to me but do like the possibility in case in-laws bring kids, then I let them figure out how to get in. I have gotten an 8' board in back with gate down and a piece of plywood. Measures 8' to edge of dropped tailgate with seats down.

 

I think the normal five seater have different seats with headrests that move up and down while the 5 seater with the optional convenience pack and the 7 seater have non adjustable.

What I was missing will test sitting the 2 row on a 7 seater was the ability to lean the back which is possible in many other suvs. Wonder if this feature is available in the 5 seater?

 

My 7 seater headrests are adjustable, third row are not.

 

I do not have kids and I come from a small family. Still I was persuaded to look at the 7 seats because of the resale value and desirability of having 7 vs 5 seats. As it turned out, 3 days after I bought the car, we needed the 7 seats!
