2011 LR4 5.0 HSE LUX, 276300km!!!! Got it in 2016 with 90k...Nothing has "failed". I've just replaced items as needed. Brakes and rotors, water pump, battery, and spark plugs and control arms w/ poly bushings.

I just today had a complete "reset" done to include: timing chains, guides and tensioners (tensioners upgraded to steel points to reduce wear), valve cover gaskets, vacuum pump seal, engine drive belts, ANOTHER water pump (first one was aftermarket-got 40k out of it..lol), coolant crossover pipe, both PCV diaphragms (had oil seepage inside of intake manifold!! wth)...front diff pinion seal (started seeping at 273k-i just kept refilling-oopsie..lol), and front diff vent pipe (new one is upgraded to allow blow out of moisture)...all of this work took 4 days to complete...and a bad a&& mechanic shop. (Sorry, the dealer wasn't gonna get their hands on it..lol)...This mech was a master tech for LR, then he opened his own shop.

This cost me a couple of loonies and toonies, but i feel it was well worth it considering this is my daily driver and I've driven it across the US and Canada a FEW times (8) and its been shipped to Hawaii and back a couple of times. (I have an interesting work field). I now think I can get another 150k out of her at least!! It's never failed me thru all conditions or terrain..ride it til the wheels fall off!!!

About 2 months ago I purchased a 2015 LR4 with just under 50,000 miles. I've put on almost 2k miles so far. This is my 4th Land Rover...I've had 2 different 04 Discovery, currently have a 2006 LR3 with 122,000 miles and running strong, and of course now the 2015 LR4.

However, I'm looking to sell the LR3 if anyone is interested.

That sounds expensive to do all that LR 15 - 116 000 miles no big issues so far - until this small engine oil smear they saw when they did the oil change
I am looking for a mechanic to change the timing cover gasket here in southern california - do you happen to be in SOcal?
The dealer wants 4800
thx

Wondering what have you fixed or done as precautions thus far and at what cost?
