Had the low pressure fuel pump recall done at the main dealers 2 years ago. Nothing wrong with the previous pump. Now it's done a few miles and I've been getting intermittent low pressure fuel pump DTCs, along with some other related low pressure issues.
The original pump was manufactured by Continental VDO but the updated recall pump's now made by Delphi and for nearly double the cost. There were rumours the 2 companies were to merge but searches indicated they've completely different parent companies.

Regardless, could the updated design have now made the new pump inferior quality to the original? Anyone else having issues with the completed recall?
