LR4 dealer service questions
Hi,
New to this forum and to LR4 ownership so please forgive my ignorance!
I purchased a CPO 2016 LR4 for my wife last year with 25K recorded and to say the least, it’s the best Rover we’ve owned so far. After owning a 2011 Freelander and two LR2’s over the years, we really are loving the LR4 experience🙂
So here are my questions for the LR4 community; the service reminder on the dash illuminated at 37,500 miles, one year into our ownership and 4 years after the vehicle was placed into service.
1) What service interval is this considered? 32K, 48K or 64K? As mentioned our LR4 was CPO’d prior to delivery at 25K miles
2) What should we expect to pay for this service at our local authorized dealer?
3) We have always used our dealer network but would be interested in independent shop recommendations in the metro Phoenix area for none CPO warranty work.
Thanks for any advice
Stephen

1. Oil Change is once a year or 15,000 miles 10,000 is better.
2. The quote is probable for direct fuel injection cleaner which you can do with bg44k or techron complete fuel system. Brake fluid flush once every 3-4 years. Power steering fluid flush which you can do yourself by looking up YouTube video or on forum here.
3. Manual may give info for service recommendation for 45000 miles

GCRover- thanks for your insight. I’ll be checking with the dealer to make sure the items you suggested will be part of the service. I’m not much of a DIY’er when it comes to auto care so will be having the dealer do the work.
The manual says the service intervals are at 32k or 48k miles so I’m thinking this will be a 48K service since the car has 37k on it.
Thanks....

With a 15% off discount I’ll be at +/- $1K for the service. Does that sound reasonable?

Yes, in Michigan oil change $200, brake and power steering fluid is $180 each, cabin filter $75 but can easily be diy, engine filter $225 and again easy diy.
I’ve had fuel induction done prior for $350 but once every 5 years is good, but is easy to add a can of bg44k or Techron complete fuel system cleaner once a year in gas tank to maintain direct fuel injection systems of newer engine's today.
Driveline service is $500 at 50-60000 miles or year 5 of vehicle
