maf n map again
sorry cannot find much on search
the red RESTRICTED triangle is up
noticed a puff of white smoke just before it turned on, to me, qualified heavy diesel fitter, it can mean one of two things, air in fuel or busted piston, ok so the white was just a wee puff, by way i know sod all abt modern ecu controlled stuff
i cleaned the MAP using meths and an ear cotton bud, this sensor was almost completely plugged, it opened to abt 4-5mm
no effect
next i touched both battery leads together, no result
maf looks spotless, in theory if you disconnect the plug from the sensor with engine running and the engine still runs, the sensor is bad, if it stops the sensor is good
testing with a meter is easy , trouble is I'm one handed, nothing is easy, anyone with tdv6 2.7 who can say how to disconnect the plug, does it just pull off or do you need to spring it somehow,
and yes the performance is poor
