Default Metallic ticking associated with the AC system 14 LR4

apologies for the video quality.

So the noise is directly related to having the AC on or off. It isn’t on all the time, actually pretty rare but always when first starting the vehicle for the day. Garden variety repair shop couldn’t replicate so I’m looking for ideas before taking it to the dealer service center.

thanks!!

I’m pretty sure this is your fan clutch on the main cooling fan. The tend to have this rhythmic clicking when they fail that is not at the same speed as the engine. The fan goes on when your AC kicks in to cool the front coils. Pretty easy to change out.

Bought a 15 and it needed $6k worth of work within months of owning it. And I’m a DIY mechanic. But it was Kodi nox too much.

What was wrong with it? $6K goes a long, long way when your doing the work yourself.
