I'm checking out a 2011 HSE LR4...so you are telling me it definitely has a center locking diff? I can't find it in the VIN breakdown and was hoping to know before driving 2+ hours to see it.

Don't get me wrong I love this car so far, I am just reading on this forum and They put wheels on this truck that has an impossible selection of street and all season tires only. The selection of tires is embarrassing... I have been looking for tires for over a week now and have not found very much.

Somebody tell me some reasons for this and if anyone has solved any of these "problems" with the aggressiveness of this beautiful SUV...

New LR4 owner...
Does yours have a center locking diff?

A 2011 has a CENTER locking diff as all models from 2010-2013 came with a 2sp transfer case and an electronically locking center differential. However, most did not come with the electronic locking rear differential (that's where the question of full size spare comes in, as the HD package came with full sized spare and the locker rear diff). When they switched to the SCV6 in 2014 is when you could get an LR4 without the 2sp transfer case.

Thanks Wilybyrd. It doesn't have the rear diff lock as I found that in the breakdown "Rear Axle Differential - Rear Axle Open Diff [027CB]" but that's ok. I could add later if I felt I really needed it. Now just gotta go see and drive it.

I would take low-range over a read locker any day. The rear locker is not essential at all. Even the LR3 had it as an option. As mentioned the electronic system do really well on their own assuming the vehicle is well maintained. Now now having low range though, that would annoy me and again it was mentioned not all LR4s may have a two speed transfer case.
