no navigation on touch screen

no navigation on touch screen
I recently purchased a 2014 LR4. It has a navigation button, but no navigation square on the touch screen (just audio/video and phone). Does anyone know if I buy the navigation update from land rover, if it will add the navigation to the touch screen? Does the lack of nav on the touch screen mean it doesn't have nav capability?
