Default Seat Belt Buckle Covers

I've got a 2016 LR4 and the three 2nd row seat belt buckles (where the belt clicks into) have busted covers. I just called my local LR Dealer and their replacements are $140+ each!! Has anyone purchased new covers from another source? I've looked in junkyards, but the interiors if they're decent are usually gone by the time I get there. Also, same question for the covers on the 3rd row levers that release the seat backs. Any help is appreciated.

there's two choices for the debate. 1. used OE. 2. Knock off, Made in China ... which one wins?

Thanks for the suggestions from both of you. I'd prefer used OE but I'll check them both out.

I'm actually pro "Made in China" depending on the part. In the case of safety, I totally understand your point. But, in the original post you said the "covers were busted". Not sure what the issue is using new Chinese made plastic covers.

I went ahead and bought 3 new buckles for $20 on eBay to replace 3 broken buckles. After getting my hands on the news ones, I would say they are high quality despite the low price. I couldn't tell much difference at all between the original and the Chinese buckle.. The Chinese buckle fit exactly. It came with three specific model numbers. I installed without any issue then inserted the buckle an gave it a couple hard yanks. It worked as designed.

I'm not saying you should install a Chinese no-name water pump, but the seat belts were high-enough quality that I wasn't worried about them after testing them out.

I'm not compensated for this review! Here's the link:

@Lowrykun Thanks for the info. I was originally just looking for the plastic covers because removing the whole buckle looked challenging because there's not much space between the seat and what looks like an allen wrench bolt. Is there a trick to getting more clearance to get the allen wrench in there?

As for Chinese vs. OEM, I've been burned ordering Chinese products that end up not fitting. The cost to ship them back is sometimes twice the cost to get them in the first place. In this case, I may bite the bullet and order buckles off Ebay since you had no issues.
