Default Suspension error

I replaced my suspension compressor the rear works great the front will rise then a suspension fault will show up on the cluster and front will sink again. Replaced the compressor since it died and had to drive on the suspension with no air for work. For about 2 weeks while I waited for the part to show up. Did I hurt the front suspension or is it something else

Codes help, but it sounds like a line leak or blockage at the front valve block. Or a strut has a severe leak. And yes, driving with the suspension like that for so long is a surefire way to damage it. What can happen is the air bag portion of the strut can roll up onto itself and rip. The compressor itself has a safety that prevents total evacuation of the system, but if the compressor was removed then that is gone.

Will the code tell me what is actually wrong ? Or do I just throw money at the problem for new front suspension?

It could. The suspension computer is pretty smart, it can generate actual faults based on actual data but it can also infer faults based on behavior. Like with a leak it can never really know for sure if there is a leak or where, but it can infer there is one based on gallery pressure, raising times, etc.

Really I would start with letting it try to raise the front but then listen for leaks. A large leak would be noticeable/audible. But like I said it could be a blockage, as in the front valve block not opening all the way and not letting air in. Its located behind the passenger wheel well and mounted to the interior bumper backside. Its rebuildable ($25) to an extent, but they can also burn out since they are just solenoid controlled.

You need to poke around first.

Got the suspension to hold air at normal but throws the code for.only normal height available so I think it's going to be a sensor related
