I don't think it's correct that the air pressure increases to increase ride height. Air volume would increase but pressure shouldn't change unless the weight of the vehicle changes.

There is an increase in pressure (added volume of gas) to expand the air strut to its elongated position. As the volume of the container increases, the pressure equalizes.

you are right that the increased volume is the overall issue. The increased pressure comes into play when traveling over terrain. Speed, weight and downforce increases the pressure in the strut as it compresses. This increased volume and lack of compression is what creates a harsher ride.

You should try our 1.5 inch lift. It works great with the 265-65-18 and the ride quality is amazing.

Beautiful fitment on that white truck.

Curious, how does a lift kit affect the operation of the oem ride height system, while on stock air suspension?
Do you still have all 3 modes/heights, available to you?

Agree - the vehicle looks great. Can I ask which rims those are please and whether they fit without mods/spacers, etc? They look great. I'm after something similar.

Default Does anyone know??

Just trying to learn what rims are on the LR4 above - anyone recognize them? I googled Fondmetal and couldn’t see anything like these.

Grateful for any ideas.

those are the evo corse Dakar zero spec wheel. No offset needed. I put these on my 2011 LR4 almost 2 years ago. Running 265-65-18. absolutely brilliant wheels.
