Description:

Running 1998 Disco 1.   PO is a relative who bought this with low miles in 2000 or so.   The skin is in pretty good shape all around with only minor dings/dents.  Engine/Drive/Diff Lock/Suspension/Brakes/Exhaust all function well.  Solid frame.      

It has all the normal D1 issues - o2 sensors/check engine/ABS light. ABS should be deleted.   I'm not going to list all the minor issues it has, but the big ones are.... transmission doesn't want to engage into reverse all the time, sometimes it takes several attempts before it goes into reverse, but always does and functions fine once in; AC is not working; passenger window regulator may be bad; sunroofs leak so the carpets and headliner were removed a while ago -  and last but not least is the RUST.  Everywhere where these things will rust it has it - front floorboards, rear bed, interior wheel-wells, under body components.   

It has a lot of good also - it was mechanically maintained well by the PO and me.  Parts replaced have been OEM.   It starts and runs every time - runs strong off-road or 70 on the interstate.  Has 3 nearly new AT tires - I blew one out on my property.   It has never had engine work, original head gaskets.   Engine runs at an even temperature and the gauge never moves above 1/3 and the heat works great. 

IMO, this a project truck for someone who has the time and knowledge to do some major/moderate upkeep and restoration OR  lift it up a few inches and make it strictly off-roader OR for parts if it has what you need.   It will come with lots of of misc. spare parts, most were stripped from a donor vehicle I had at one time - including the transmission which I had planned to swap out.
