Ready to part with my first LR4
For Sale2011 Land Rover LR4
Description:
I bought my Galway Green, 7 passenger HSE LR4 at 30K miles (without the rear locking diff.) and have enjoyed it so much that I bought another LR4 (a 2013 with 50K miles and a locking rear diff), a 2016 Evoque, as well as a 2020 Defender 110 in off-road spec.
On my 2011, I have invested in very good maintenance and have all the records of such and will share them with the purchaser. I have changed the oil very often, and driven sedately, so I have not needed to execute the timing chain / hydraulic tensioner solution. Maybe this will be necessary in the future? I did just spend several thousand to avoid the plastic cover, coolant piping, water pump problem potential -- changing out all of it for new a few months ago. Also, all roof drains have all been replaced, along with all brake lines. It has good tires (continental 19" AT) and a brand new battery. It has a factory tow kit and brake controller which works well.
My excuse for keeping the 2011 was to store it for most of the year at a cabin far away from any dealers or service. As I test, I just finished leaving it at my farm for several months. Uggh - It failed ! My key fob is not recognized (most likely rodent damage), so the vehicle is stranded until I get around to trouble-shooting and repairing it. So, for the remote cabin storage vehicle, I am going to need to go old-school with a pre-electronic vehicle. So it goes.
Thus, I am putting up to sale my 2011 LR4, hoping someone wants to fully convert it to off-road spec, and loves it as much as I do.
I will update pictures the next time I have time at the farm. The interior looks fine, the vehicle has no damage history, it runs great for what it is -- and is really a good point for someone to add locking diffs, new wheels, rock crawlers, etc. and off-road it.
If anyone has a suitable for cabin-storage, farm-capable, off-road focused, old-school, non-electronic vehicle to trade, I would consider it.
