Description:

Up for sale is my very unique Land Rover Discovery 1 LSE 50th anniversary addition, which I have dubbed, "Diesel Disco"

This is the last model year of the Discovery 1 platform and this particular truck has been treated to a new Land Rover 300 TDI engine and rebuilt R380 5 Speed manual transmission to replace its original 4.0 v8. As many of you know these were offered in Europe with the 300 TDI, but not in the US so this is a very unique truck here in the states. This is a US truck with a swap, not an imported euro spec. I get approximately 22MPG around town and almost 30MPG on the highway. This truck has less than 1500 miles on the new engine, and is in excellent condition being a West Coast truck its whole life. The Disco itself has 287,861 miles under its belt but you would have no idea based on the condition of exterior, interior and underbody. I am working on getting many more detailed pictures and will update asap.

I purchased the truck from the engine builder who did the conversion, Zombie Motors in Eugene, Oregon and had it shipped to me on the East Coast. His business is building these 300TDI engines and doing conversions in Defenders, Discovery's and Range Rover Classics.

I've only owned the truck since April but have enjoyed every minute driving it this summer. My original plan was to keep it for the very long term because in a lot of ways, its the perfect Disco. Unfortunately, I need to thin my heard of vehicles as I have minimal space at my home and my small business is beginning to take over my free time and garage space. Below are some more details on the truck, but feel free to reach out to me to discuss further. There are not comps for what this car is worth so I have priced it based on, but not entirely what I have into it. In June I had it serviced thoroughly at a local respected land rover shop to ensure everything is in good and working order:

Work performed in June:

- New Brakes & Calipers all around - Front & Rear pads, rotors & calipers, (one was seized, one was close so replaced all).
- New Pinion Seal
- New driver side Swivel ball gasket and assembly (passenger side already upgraded to composite).
- New Bearings

Work performed in October
- Oil Change
- Valve/timing adjustment

Other Highlights include:
- 1.5" Old Man Emu suspension kit
- 5 New BFG 245 / 75/ R16 Tires (Under 1500 Miles)
- New headliner installed
- Snorkel (installed but not hooked up to air box).
- Discovery 2 cupholders added
- Bluetooth head unit

There is lots more detail to add but it would be easier to share more with a serious potential buyer via phone & email. I will be taking many more pictures of the truck later this weekend but I wanted to post and see if there is some interest in the Diesel Disco. The truck is located in Dartmouth, MA which is near Cape Cod and about an hour South of Boston. Thanks!
