Description:

Here is a transfer case shifter pulled from an ’04 Discovery.  It includes the shifter and ****, CDL cable, and the little lever at the end of the cable that attaches to the CDL actuator shaft on top of the transfer case (all pictured; what you see is what you get – you’ll need a 10mm nyloc nut to connect the lever to the CDL actuator shaft).

I’ll presume you are familiar with the methods if you are reading this ad, but there are several videos online showing how to remove the existing shifter from your DII and install this upgrade.

Not included is the hi-lo shifter cable, which you can re-use from your truck, or other hardware (e.g. the four bolts to mount the shifter).  This shifter is $350 shipped (U.S. addresses); prepaid via Zelle.

The sticker to mount on the console showing CDL operation is available from Rovers North (https://www.roversnorth.com/parts/ba...tions_defender).

Note - The wiring for the Hi-Lo solenoid mounted on the shifter in ’04 Discoveries has been cut.  The solenoid is redundant and can be removed if you are mounting this shifter in a pre-facelift DII since the Hi-Lo solenoid is mounted on the t-case in those trucks.

You can choose to either remove the Hi-Lo solenoid from the t-case in your truck and splice in the wiring for this shifter, or remove the solenoid from this shifter and continue to rely on the t-case mounted shifter in your truck (which is what I did when I installed an ’04 shifter in my ’99 DII over 10 years ago).
