I'm considering selling my 2022 Land Rover Defender SE.  I want to assess interest in this community which has been a constant source of support and information for me.  I wanted to see if anyone who really understands, knows and appreciates a New Defender and Land Rover in general, would have interest before I talk to a clueless used car dealer during a trade-in.  I already know what Carvana, etc are willing to offer.

As you can probably see from my posting history, this is my dream car and I've been so engaged in this community!  I'm considering sale of the vehicle.  Without boring you with my story, I've had some financial challenges and need to see if I can re-coup some of my investment is this incredible vehicle.  I planned to keep this for a good ten years, at least, as evidenced by the investment I made in a full extended warranty to 10 years/100K miles (fully transferable and I have the contract to provided proof).

I ordered this through my local JLR dealership and took delivery in July of 2021.  It has been off-road (sadly) only a few times and one great trip to Colorado.  My new job requires 300-400 miles per week and I just can't stand to put so many "junk miles" on such a vehicle, it seems like a waste.  I've got a little Tacoma for that!
If my financial situation wasn't quite to tight, I would not even be thinking about this.

I recently had a certain party (known to this forum) add all the activations, so now it has nearly every software option that it could have ever had from the factory!

- Extra set of 20 inch OEM Defender alloy rims with BFG KOT tires with about 7K miles on them including spare AND a nearly new EXTRA set of factory Goodyear Wranglers (was keeping for a distant future replacement).  

-Dealer 21K mile service and I've done my own oil/filter change at 10K miles including one just at 30K

There honestly may be a few blemishes (tiny rock chips) in the paint and on the matte black plastic pieces, but as nearly close to a mint example of a vehicle as you could find.  Always garaged.  Glass is perfect.  Seats/Interior perfect.  (Geez! why would I even think about selling).

The first photo was before I installed the Front Protection Bar.  One photo shows a small scratch in the paint on the inside of the rear door from some cargo.


I just spec'd this vehicle in a 2023 on LR's website as close as possible (not including the air compressor or extra wheels and two sets of extra tires) and it comes to $88K.  I think I would be crazy to take less than $75k. considering it comes with the All-State full extended warranty!
