Description:

Up for sale is a 2004 Land Rover Discovery II. Salvage title in hand - this vehicle was built out of two Discos (body from one, drive train from another). I originally bought it as a project/weekend car but it then turned into my daily driver for about two years. Now it's back to being an "extra" car, but I have two other project cars I'm more interested in, so Oliver needs a new home.

It failed it's smog inspection a few weeks ago because of a broken O2 sensor connector (driver's side upstream) but I don't have the time to fix it (two O2 sensors included with sale). Other things that need attention are a leaky power steering pump, the rear differential mounts, valve cover gaskets (included) and oil pan gasket (also included). It could also use a good polish and wax. And, of course, it has the "Three Amigos" brake issue, although I've never had any issues stopping, even emergency stops.

The interior is in fair shape - the seats are vinyl and in good shape other than the driver's seat (hence the beads). Both front seats are power and heated (all functions work). All windows work. As with nearly all Discoverys of this era, only the passenger front and fifth door power locks work - the solution is to replace the motors within the lock assemblies with higher-quality motors (included). The other two typical things that break on a Disco 2 happen to still work on Oliver: both the clock and the automatic climate control still work well and the displays are legible. As you can see from the picture, Oliver has both the mug holder cup holders as well as the retracting cup holders (directly below the climate control). Both the ash tray and the coin cubby work, although the coin cubby is stiff when opening. It does have a functional cargo area cover (rare to find these days)

In the ~25,000 miles I've owned it, the windshield, front springs, all shock absorbers, tires, rotors, brake pads, coolant reservoir, water pump, cooling fan, radiator, air intake plenum, coils (relocated for better access), plugs and battery have been replaced (service journal included in purchase). It has new carpet mats in the passenger compartment and a WeatherTech mat in the cargo area, as well as a custom, stainless steel package shelf. It has the factory jack and factory tool kit (also a bit uncommon to find in these). It also has a 2" hitch receiver and is already wired for trailer lights (4 pin).

I'm not interested in parting it out, so please don't ask. With just a few days worth of work, Oliver is ready to be someone's daily driver or turn into a great off-road/ranch vehicle. Please message me if you have any questions, and thanks for looking!
