noise level? you drive an SUV shaped like a brick. i honestly can't tell you the answer but my experience is any time these trucks get anywhere near 70mph the wind noise is horrible no matter if you are running street tires or mud terrains.

I saw your post about how to pull and paint your headliner. Pretty set on doing that to mine as soon as weather warms a bit. Did you notice any difference in noise level? I would think that the paint would settle about as much noise as the thin fabric but wanted to check.

you can check out this video on the string method. all you have to do is adjust the thread on each of the tie rod ends which he doesnt show. you can also measure from the front pass side to the front driver side and back of each of the front tires to make sure that the measurements match.

I am going to have to use the string method for a front alignment temporarily but have not used it before I Was curious if you had the steps for this procedure or knew of a website with the instructions

    Greetings Ed
Been looking for another discovery 97-2000 to replace my beat up 98 disco. Was hoping to find someone with an extra disco hanging around that they woudent mind parting with, and for whom would accept payments for the purchase. Contract and collateral no problem."Rover Chris" a senior member read my post and recommended I contact you. Do you have anything? For further details please refer to my new post: https://landroverforums.com/forum/di...-anyone-39497/

    Thanks for your time.

    Hey Ed,
I have an 18 year old son who, after working on my '96, really wants to sell his Camaro and get a Disco. A lot to do with he and I wrenching together.
If you care, his '86 Camaro has about 68K original miles, everything original except the tires and stero.

We live in the DC area, so if you know of any of the "sweet deals" you have found up there - available down here, would you
    Please pass them on?

I know this sounds crazy, but he really loves wrenching and "futzing" with me on mine and wants his own "tinker toy".

Unlike some others, it is EXACTLY the little "tinkering/tune up" things we both enjoy doing, and find the reward of HIGH MPG and reliability the reward.

If you are not interested, please also feel free to tell me to piss up a rope!

    Thanks Ed!
