I just read your window regulator fix because mine did exactly what you described yesterday - a loud bang and the glass jumped as it started down and then it would not go down and would not quite close leaving a 1/4" gap at the top. I am about to pull the door panel (again) and check it out and photos would be a big help. Did you have to remove the regulator to do the repair?
