Best way to play music in a 2004 Disco?

Hi, I'm interested in '03-'04 Discos and am trying to absorb as much info on them as possible before I buy. One of the first changes I would make is allowing an iPhone to play through the speakers. I know there are multiple ways get sound out of the speakers such as wiring an auxiliary cable. However I want it to be as neat as possible. An aftermarket radio would be best but I haven't found any that match the rugged interior of the disco. What modifications have you made to get around this problem?

I used one of these until I swapped out my head unit

Easiest solution is to replace the CD player with a dongle that provides a line in.
I replaced my head unit with a Pioneer Nex8000.

The Pioneer AVIC 8000NEX that Robert is using has built in Navigation.

Jensen VX7012

3 Attachment(s)
I put this Jensen single DIN unit in and it sounds great.
It has it all - B/T, GPS and (with the adder) Sirius Satellite Radio.
I put the antenna for the GPS and Sirius on the flat spots on the outside top edges of the front cowl.
It took a bit to get all the wires tucked away but the unit looks pretty good.
The new radio is about a 1/2 inch deeper.

I also added Blind Spot Detectors.

I have a NEX4000 unit, will this fit in my 03 disco? do I need a trim kit? I thought it was a 1.5 dim and the unit is a 2 dim ? correct?

Jensen VX7012 - not Pioneer AVH-NEX400

The Alpine I pulled out was a single din so I replaced it with the same size.
The Pioneer AVH-NEX400 is a 2 din. It isn't a straight swap that's for sure.
Good luck.
I also went on line and got the center dash just in case I screwed it up. I didn't so I now have an extra.
