First, OME doesn't make a true 3" lift unless you want to beat your self to death.
I would suggest you look at the new BFG that replaced the MT's. These tires are far better then the last 2 sets of BFG MT's I have run over the last 100,000 miles.
So, the big question is what are you going to do about your slightly weak axles, your too high gears and your 2 really weak spider gears that will fail sooner then later?
Need to address that if you really want to builr a semi-hard core wheeler.

I was thinking about running the new BFG MT's, They look cool and I have heard good things about them.
I also have a question, 99 D2, I was thinking about running 31's and a 2 inch lift. I have the SLS system and have rebuilt the front driveshaft. Should I worry about the axles if I am not hard core off-roading? Just sand and light rock-crawling, some trails. How do these axles fail? Also, I was thinking about running a Tru-Lock, maybe - how does this change things?
TIA - David

do you HAVE to rebuild the front driveshaft if you are going to lift it? I want to do a 3" Old Man Emu lift and put 32" BFG MT's on my Disco II, I plan on taking it out to Uwharrie in North Carolina and doing some off-roading but nothing really intense. And if I DO have to rebuild the front driveshaft, how much would that cost me? What is an SLS System?
