Junk, Ive seen them fry in one pull. You get what you pay for. Warn is the only fully trusted winch... Harbor freight uses brands that are made in china and vietnam...with the cheapest parts and castings ever.

They are a bit more durable than one would think.......

Don't do this at home..... Make sure to scroll down a bit, it's worth it.

Not a $1,200 Warn, but they're as good or better than anything for the price. I have a Smitty Bilt XRC8 which is also made in China and it works fine for me. They are typically slow, but they more than get the job done. You can get a winch and a bumper for the price of a Warn. Might consider upgrading the cables to a heavier guage but I wouldn't be afraid to buy one. They also offer an extended warranty at extra cost that might not be a bad idea considering how little they cost.

I have their older version of this winch on my 12.5k flat trailer it sits out uncovered for almost a decade now always works, slow but works I have pulled my dead case backhoe onto the trailer, a ww2 6x6 up a 150'+/- very steep concrete driveway with the wheels locked up, several 1940's jeeps from their resting places sunk in backyards with flat tires and plows all without a snatchblock just dead pull

they also have the wireless remote on sale for $25 i bought the wireless remote today seems nice but no idea on durability
