Lifting my 2003 Discovery
New to the Forum. Hello all.
I have a 2003 Discovery and have my eye on the EMU 2" lift kit. I took her off roading 3 weeks ago with a Land Rover dealer organized event and had a blast. I was the only Disco amongst LR3's and believe it or not 1 week old RR Supercharged units. 100K is alot of money to be bushwacking, but thats another story.
I noticed that I need more clearance for better rock crawling and basically anything in the dirt.
The lift kit is a done deal, I am sold. But currently I have 18" wheels and alot of you are saying that 18's are not ideal. The questions- is it worth me selling the 18's and buying 16's? Its a hassle but I will do it if the payoff is considerable.
Secondly, would a set of 16's off of a 99 Discovery work, I think they are 16x7 or 16x8.
They are on Ebay and its not a bad deal.
And Finally, is the on road ride after EMU still ok? This truck will also serve as the family truckster and wife drives it too, I don't want it to be too rough or she will be mad, and thats bad....
Thanks for any input.
