Default non-OEM running boards

greetings from northern NJ.
new to the scene, and looking for running boards for Redneck Maria,
my 1996 Disco SD, lifted. Either none available in the NY tri-state,
or I'm not willing to pay $450 for a pair of steps (LR pricing notwithstanding)..

I'd read that Onki boards for up to 1996 Ford Broncos were compatible with Disco 1s...but with shipping, still closer to 320bucks...

Will OEM boards for RR Classics, Disco 2, or LRs work with Disco 1?
Any suggestions for other non-LR brands?
